St. Mark to install new pastor

The public is invited to a service of worship and installation at St. Mark Presbyterian Church, 208 W. Bandera Road in Boerne, at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20. The Rev. Ann Marie Quigley-Swanson will be installed as pastor/ head of staff at St. Mark.

The public is invited to a service of worship and installation at St. Mark Presbyterian Church, 208 W. Bandera Road in Boerne, at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20. The Rev. Ann Marie Quigley-Swanson will be installed as pastor/ head of staff at St. Mark.

Participating in the service will be Mission Presbytery General Presbyter the Rev. Sallie Watson, Covenant Presbyterian Church Pastor the Rev. Dan Milford, the Rev. Joan Watson, the Rev. Nancy McCranie and Presbyterian Ruling Elders Rita Odom, Gordon Ringler and Ruben Trono.

Quigley-Swanson was called to St. Mark in November 2021 after serving the last 17 years at Northwoods Presbyterian Church in Houston. She graduated from Texas A&M University in 1991 and then attended Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, Virginia, graduating with a masters of divinity degree in 1996. Following graduation, she served as an associate pastor at Presbyterian churches in Clearwater and Tampa, Florida, before being called to be associate pastor at Northwoods Presbyterian in 2004.

Quigley-Swanson and her husband, Pete Swanson, have two children,

Brandt and Emma. Information from the church states she has a heart and passion for ministry.

The special service will be livestreamed on the St. Mark Presbyterian Boerne YouTube channel, as are all of the church’s regular 10:30 a.m. Sunday worship services.
