The Boerne High girls soccer team opened district play Friday at home against Fredericksburg and didn’t give up a goal on its way to a 6-0 win over the Lady Billies.
Also, one of the Lady Greyhounds hit a personal milestone after Kylie Combs finished with 3 goals and recorded the 100thgoal of her career.
Boerne is 10-2 overall and starts district play at 1-0. They continued 26-4A action Tuesday at Davenport.
The Lady Hounds tallied 3 goals in each half on Friday. Madeline Davis had the team’s first goal on a direct kick. Combs then knocked in the next two to give Boerne a 3-0 lead at halftime.
In the second half, Combs assisted on the Hannah Bowen goal to make it 4-0 with 16 minutes left in the match. Kailey Stringfellow made it 5-0 on a slide finish and then Combs hit her 100th goal on a header with time winding down in the match for the 6-0 final.
