Boerne Champion had two volleyball players named all-state by the Texas Sports Writers Association.
Senior Emma Wegleitner was named to TSWA 5A third team as an outside hitter and senior Kelsey Rogers was named honorable mention as a middle blocker.
Rogers and Wegleitner helped the Lady Chargers reach the 30-win plateau during the 2022 season where they finished 30-12 and made the playoffs.
Champion was the fourth-place team in 26-5A and lost to Leander Rouse in the first round of the playoffs.
Wegleitner’s season was cut short due to injury, but she still led the team in kills with 316, while Rogers was second in kills with 289 and she paced the team in blocks with 104 and in aces with 43.
