LAW ENFORCEMENT

The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence, which will be decided in court at a later date. BOERNE POLICE DEPARTMENT

January 25

7:54 a.m., Upper Balcones and I-10 Access Road- Traffic was backed up outside Starbucks again.

8:35 a.m., 100 block Jolie Circle- A woman’s ex-boyfriend who showed up uninvited to her home the week before was now saying he was on her way to her home to kill her. He said he had knives and parked on her street. Officers arrested him at gunpoint, but the jail later called for EMS transport to the hospital reporting he had very high blood pressure and wasn’t breathing properly. 12:16 p.m., 32128 I-10 W.- A customer took their vehicle from Lester’s Automotive without paying for their services.

3:13 p.m., 540 MM I-10 W.- An individual was arrested during a traffic stop. 5:22 p.m., 1300 block N. Main St.- Two individuals, including a local political candidate, reported someone was stealing campaign signs around town, driving a brown Chevy pickup with a camo strip at the bottom.

7:12 p.m., 1381 S. Main St.- A female officer was requested to Walmart to report sexual harassment. Both the accuser and the actor were employees at the grocery store.

Officers also conducted 12 security checks, made 16 traffic stops, assisted the public eight times, removed a traffic hazard and worked three false alarms, three non-injury accidents, one animal call and two reckless drivers.

January 26

3:27 a.m., 300 block James St.- A man reported “at least a dozen” unattended trucks parked along James Street. An officer patrolled the area and found no evidence of a crime.

11:37 a.m., 1406 S. Main St.- Animal control was called to pick up two dogs after a driver was arrested during a traffic stop.

12:31 p.m., 100 block Hickman St.- A man was seen taking off his clothes at Veterans’ Plaza and appeared to be in distress. The man took off his shoes and socks before removing his jacket and dropping to his knees like he was praying.

3:17 p.m., 300 block Hickman St.- A man hopped into a stranger’s car to avoid being attacked by a dog, where he remained until animal control arrived to capture the barking dog.

7:25 p.m., 524 Adler Rd.- A parks department employee reported some kind of firework or smoke bomb was set off in a park bathroom. There were black markings and smoke in the bathroom when the city employee arrived.

Officers also conducted eight security checks, made 27 traffic stops, assisted the public 19 times and worked four false alarms, three non-injury accidents, one animal call and two reckless drivers.

KENDALL COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

January 26

1:42 p.m., 100 block Sandy Oaks Dr.- A resident wanted to know if they could fire their weapon on their property.

5:12 p.m., 600 block Water St.- A woman saw two dogs kill a cat. She was able to scare the dogs off after, but she said they had been a problem in the area before.

5:18 p.m., 540 MM I-10 E.- A four-vehicle accident was reported on the interstate. One of the passengers involved was a woman who was nine months pregnant, but it’s unclear if any injuries were caused.

Deputies also made 22 traffic stops, assisted the public 10 times and worked seven false alarms and two animal calls.

January 27

12:54 a.m., 100 block Rodalyn Dr.- A woman reported another woman punched her brother. She and her brother locked themselves in the main house on the property until deputies arrived.

8:26 a.m., 30 block Mayacama Point- A man reported his truck was broken into overnight.

11:54 a.m., 1900 block FM 1376- A large Billy goat with big horns was weaving in and out of traffic.

2:53 p.m., 10 block Winged Foot- A man reported his truck was broken into overnight.

4:53 p.m., Bergmann Road- A resident had video evidence of a man breaking into their home, saying the front door was now damaged and items had been moved around.

Deputies also made 18 traffic stops, assisted the public 14 times, removed two traffic hazards, served a warrant and worked two false alarms, one non-injury accident and three reckless drivers.
