The Geneva boys basketball team faced off against the Texas School for the Deaf and walked away with an impressive victory, 86-29.
The Eagles are 19-6 overall and 1-1 in district. They were back in action Friday against Holy Cross.
Geneva took control early and was leading 50-9 at halftime. Coach Julius McNeal spoke on how he was excited to finally play with the team’s full roster and he praised the depth and the team’s effort to play together.
“Having a full team for the first time this season was exciting to see,” he said. “It allowed us to play fast and we were able to cut down on some minutes which will allow us to stay fresh in games later in the season.”
Spencer Yarbrough led the team in scoring with 22 points and Chaz Lutz was their second leading scorer with 21 points.
