The Geneva School of Boerne girls basketball team won its first three games at its own tournament and advanced to the finals before falling in the championship tilt.

Geneva is 14-5 overall and on the road Wednesday for a district game against Texas School for the Deaf at 6:30 p.m. After that, the Eagles host Holy Cross Friday at home, 6 p.m.

Geneva opened the tournament with a 59-21 win over TMI – Episcopal and then won a close one over Savio in overtime later that day, 43-38.

It was tied at 33-33 at the end of regulation and then the Eagles outscored Savio in the extra period, 10-5.

Geneva returned on Thursday and ran past San Antonio Christian School, 52-18, to advance to the championship game on Friday against Rosehill Christian.

In the championship game, the Eagles were clipped by Rosehill Christian, 48-29.
