To the Boerne Community:
Words are hard to find to express the gratitude we feel towards our Boerne Community. This town has made the Greyhounds feel loved, respected and appreciated. We couldn’t believe how many people lined the streets with signs and smiles for the sendoffs.
The crowds the last three weeks of our playoff run were unbelievable. We could feel the energy and hear the roar! This will be an experience our coaches, trainers and players will never forget.
Seeing the Greyhounds young and old come together was amazing. From the old Greyhound letter jackets being dusted off, to the inspirational letters, the crowd at the community pep-rally, to all the kids at North, Fabra, and Curington screaming for us, and finally to witness a Sea of Purple in Dallas filing up both decks were amazing.
We also want to thank our Band, Cheer, and Dance teams for their continued support and countless hours of practice and preparation to make our games so much fun. Thank you to Boerne ISD’s leadership team, and a huge thanks for our Police, Fire, and EMS teams for the incredible escorts.
Football is truly a sport about life lessons. The scoreboard is important, and we want to win and compete; however, the relationships and character developed will last a lifetime!
We were honored to experience this with you!!
With Love and Gratitude
Che Hendrix The 2022 Greyhound Football Team
