Lady Chargers shut out two opponents this week

After a couple of tough district losses, the Boerne Champion girls soccer team has rebounded well and won three straight via the shutout by a combined score of 21-0.

After a couple of tough district losses, the Boerne Champion girls soccer team has rebounded well and won three straight via the shutout by a combined score of 21-0.

After shutting out Veterans Memorial last week, the Lady Chargers earned two more shutout-wins this week.

On Monday, Champion blanked Lehman in Kyle and on Tuesday, the Chargers hosted Seguin and didn’t even allow a shot to the Matadors.

Champion is 7-2-2 overall and 4-2 in district. They visit Kerrville Tivy on Friday.

Vs. Seguin

Champion kept the Seguin goalkeeper busy after they tallied 49 shots, 36 on goal, while the Lady Matadors didn’t manage a shot all night as the Chargers rolled to a 7-0 win.

Vivian Garza, Addison Huber, Lorenna Garza, Regan Alt, Nevaeh Garris and Hannah Arnall all netted single goals and Seguin also recorded an own goal.

Shelby Christian and Alt both assisted on two of the goals.

Vs. Lehman

Champion was up 3-0 at halftime and added two more goals in the second half for the 5-0 win.

Vivian Garza, Emma Mae Dixon, Nevaeh Garris, Mya Serda and Hannah Arnall all tallied single goals, while Mack Arendall recorded 2 assists, Addison Huber, Gaby Dellocono and Arnall all had 1 assist in the match.
