The Comfort boys basketball team hosted the Junction Eagles on Friday and came away with at 62-33 victory.
With the win, the Cats improved to 7-9 on the season. They hosted Jourdanton on Tuesday.
Comfort had a fast start and took a 14-5 lead in the first quarter and then outscored the Eagles in the second, 22-5 for the 36-10 halftime lead.
Junction had its best quarter of the night in the third with 14 points and outscored the Bobcats, 14-10, but Comfort was still winning, 46-24, as the game went into the final period.
In the fourth quarter, the Cats pulled away after outscoring the Eagles 16-7 for the 29-point win.
Jaydin Steward paced Comfort with 18 points, Jovani Zapata added 8, Caleb Van Geffen and Landon Aguirre both scored 6, while Terick Rodriguez, Noah Southwick, Eli Gilliland, Santos Hernandez and Joel Lozano all tallied 4 points apiece and Aidan Schwarz and Ollie Engleman chipped in with 2 points each.
