The Comfort Bobcats traveled to Ingram on Tuesday and won in overtime against the Warriors, 56-54.
With the win the Cats improve to 18-13 on the season and 5-3 in District 25-3A play.
Comfort is at Blanco on Friday and hosts Lago Vista Tuesday.
There wasn’t much separation between the two teams on Tuesday. It was tied 9-9 after one and then Ingram won the second quarter, 14-10, for the 23-19 halftime lead.
It stayed close in the third but Comfort did outscore Ingram by a point, 15-14, and the Warriors were up 37-34 as the game went to the fourth.
Comfort caught Ingram in the final stanza after winning it by 3 points, 16-13, to tie it at 50-50 and send it to overtime.
Once in the extra period, points were hard to come by for both but Comfort hit for 6 and Ingram tallied 4.
Tucker Weyel had a strong game and recorded 20 points, Luis Martinez added 10, Eli Gilliland had 8, Alex Martinez and Issac Duran scored 5 apiece, Terick Rodriguez netted 3, while Tony Ybarra and Adolfo Campos hit for 2 and Santos Hernandez made a free throw.
