Boerne High was home for a boys basketball game Tuesday night and hosted a hot-shooting Brackenridge team.

The Eagles made a bunch of 3-pointers to keep them in the game, but the Hounds handled the Eagles, 58-54, to earn the win.

BHS improves to 7-2 overall and is scheduled to play in the New Braunfels River City Classic this weekend for its second tournament of the year.

In Tuesday’s game it seemed like Boerne would start to pull away and then the Eagles would knock down a few 3-pointers and close the gap, but the Hounds managed to keep Brack at bay.

Barrett Pape turned in a double-double after he finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Trevor Agarwal added 18 points after Agarwal went 5 for 8 from the 3-point line and made 5 of the team’s 6 3s.

Casen Hoegemeyer nailed the team’s other 3 and finished with 5 points, while Colton Hoegemeyer tallied 6 points in the game.

Sam Holland and Luke Fox chipped in with 4 points apiece and Nic Hernandez netted 2.

Agarwal grabbed 8 rebounds and recorded 4 assists, while Pape dished out 6 assists and came up with 4 steals.
