Boerne High had four volleyball players named to one of the 27-4A All-District teams as voted upon by the league’s coaches.
Three of the four Lady Greyhounds were seniors after senior Tori Adams was named to the first team and senior Tana Lux was also a first-team selection.
Sophomore Ava Rocchio landed on the second team and senior Madison Morris was also a second-team pick. Boerne High had no honorable mention selections this year. Boerne was in a rugged district and finished the year with a record of 21-17 overall and went 5-7 in 27-4A.
Davenport, Wimberley, Fredericksburg and Navarro were the four playoff teams from the district, while Boerne, Canyon Lake and Bandera also competed in 27-4A.
The Lady Hounds had a chance at the postseason going into the final few matches but needed some help and didn’t get it.
BHS had an impressive playoff streak that was snapped this year after more than a decade. The last time they didn’t get in was during the 2010 season.
