The Geneva School of Boerne boys basketball team took on the Barons from St. Mary’s Hall on Tuesday and won the game, 56-44.
Geneva improves to 9-2 overall and hosted Stacey on Friday.
In Tuesday’s game, Geneva was trailing early and down 14-12 after the first quarter but the Eagles caught the Barons in the second, 9-6, and went into the halftime break with a slim lead at, 21-20.
Geneva pulled away in the third and won the quarter, 20-5, for the 41-25 advantage. The Barons tried to rally in the fourth period and won the stanza 19-15, but the Eagles still won the game by 12 points.
Chaz Lutz led the Geneva team with 19 points, Spencer Yarborough added 12 points and Griffin Freiling finished with 11 points.
