Boerne High competed at the 4A & Under TISCA swim meet held the weekend before the Thanksgiving break.
The event was in San Antonio and both the boys and girls teams finished sixth. The Lady Greyhounds tallied 156 points and the BHS boys scored 149 points.
Kiali Cunningham won gold in the 100 breaststroke and Henry Johnson won gold in the 100 backstroke and both set pool records at the Southwest ISD Aquatic Center with their times.
The Champion swim team competed at the 5A TISCA meet this weekend. For results, be sure to look in the Boerne Star.
RESULTS
In the 200-yard medley relay, Brinley Robinson, Ella Parsons, Kiali Cunningham and Brenna McCarty combined for second place with a time of 2:08.22 for 34 points, while a second BHS girls team of Sadie Smurr, Bella McCarty, Cassidy Collier and Mary Rich finished 14th with a 2:23.38 for 6 more team points.
In the boys 200-medley relay, the Hounds were fourth after Henry Johnson, Cooper Wagner, Carter Schuessler and Michael Villarreal turned in a 1:50.37 for 30 team points, while a second BHS squad consisting of Tristan Wood, Jack Parson, Cannon Kunz and Isaac Martin Johnson placed 11th after clocking in at 2:09.60 for 12 more points.
In the 200 free, Brenna McCarty finished seventh for 12 points after turning in a time of 2:13.26, while in the 50-yard freestyle, Brinley Robinson placed 11th with a time of 29.50 for 6 points and Ella Parsons earned 4 team points after she finished 13th after recording a 29.59.
In the boys 50 free, Henry Johnson and Cooper Wagner went 4-5 with times of 23.19 and 23.88, while Carter Schuessler was 16th with a time of 26.27. Johnson earned 15 points, Wagner 14 and Schuessler picked up a point.
In the 100-yard butterfly, Kiali Cunningham clocked in at 1:05.47 for fifth and 14 team points, Brenna McCarty was eighth with a 1:10.93 for 11 more points, while Cassidy Collier earned 4 points after she was 13th with a 1:20.47.
In the 100-yard freestyle, Sadie Smurr placed 13th after recording a 1:07.70 for 4 points, while Carter Schuessler came in 11th in the boys 100 free with a time of 57.24 for 6 points.
In the girls 200-yard freestyle relay, the team of Kiali Cunningham, Brinley Robinson, Ella Parsons and Brenna McCarty combined for a time of 1:55.19 for eighth and 22 points, while the squad of Cassidy Collier, Bella McCarty, Mary Rich and Sadie Smurr placed 14th with a time of 2:06.43 for 6 more points.
The BHS boys had two team points in the 200-free relay after Cooper Wagner, Michael Villarreal, Carter Schuessler and Henry Johnson posted a time of 1:39.45 for fourth and 30 points, while the Cannon Kunz, Tristan Wood, Jack Parson and Isaac Martin Johnson teamed up for 15th and 4 points.
Henry Johnson won the boys 100-yard backstroke with a time of 55.73 for 20 points and set the pool record, while Tristan Wood came in 14th in 1:11.07 for 3 more points.
Kiali Cunningham won the girls 100-yard breaststroke after she clocked in at 1:13.82 for 20 points to set the pool record and Ella Parsons placed sixth with a time of 1:21.29 for 13 more points.
Cooper Wagner recorded a time of 1:12.71 for fifth in the boys 100 breaststroke and earned 14 points.
