Members of the Alamo Kountry Kickers rode into Boerne on horseback this past Sunday as part of a trail ride associated with the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo that got underway this week. The group left Comfort and stopped at Kendall County Cowboy Church to attend services and eat lunch before traveling along the Interstate 10 service road into Boerne and eventually to the Kendall County Fairgrounds. From there, club members were scheduled to ride east into Comal County and then into Bexar County. First picture: Club President Barbara Bucher (white hat), Scout Robert Rey (black hat), Queen Cheyenne Skipper (center), Trail Boss David Wiedenfeld (brown jacket) and Mascot Kinley Zaeske (helmet) lead the trail riders from Kendall County Cowboy Church as the ride to the fairgrounds begins.
