The Comfort boys basketball team hosted Devine on Friday night and is still looking for its first win after suffering its second consecutive loss.
Devine dropped the Bobcats to 0-2 after the Warhorses won the game, 60-44.
The Cats hosted Fredericksburg on Monday of this week and will take off a week for the Thanksgiving holiday and return to the court on Tuesday, Nov. 29.
Devine almost tripled up the Cats in the first quarter and held a 17-6 lead. The Warhorses really galloped away in the second period by outscoring Comfort, 29-11, for the 46-17 advantage at halftime.
Comfort played better in the second half and outscored Devine, but it wasn’t enough to catch the Warhorses.
The Bobcats won the third, 11-10, and then took the fourth quarter, 16-4, to outscore them 27-14 in the second half.
Joel Lozano led CHS with 12 points, Santos Hernandez added 11, Terick Rodriguez finished with 6 points, Aidan Schwarz and Landon Aguirre netted 4 apiece, Eli Gilliland and Tony Ybarra tallied 3 apiece and Caleb Van Geffen hit a free throw.
