The Boerne Champion volleyball team had eight players recognized as all-district by the 26-5A coaches.
Two were first teamers, two more made the second team and four Lady Chargers were named honorable mention.
Senior Kelsey Rogers and junior Gabriela Rossello were both selected to the first team, while senior Izzy Maszak and senior Sadie Hoyt were named second-team all-district.
Senior Erin Fallon, sophomore Ella Coleman, senior Emersyn Koke and senior Emma Wegleitner were all recognized as honorable mention.
Champion had a great year and finished with a record of 30-12 overall. The Lady Chargers were 8-6 in district and finished fourth in the standings to earn a playoff spot.
One of their main goals this year was to make the postseason after not qualifying last year for only the first time in the program’s history and their achieved their goal in a tough district, while dealing with some key injuries.
Champion made the playoffs but drew state-ranked Rouse in the first round and played well against the Raiders but lost in four sets.
