Sharon Lee Hester Williams

Sharon Lee Hester Williams, 80, passed away at 5:15 a.m. on Monday, February 7, 2022, at her daughter's home in Boerne, Texas. She was born on Tuesday, June 24, 1941, in Anderson, Indiana, to Virgil & Anna Elizabeth Hester.
She married Joseph J. Williams on Sunday, March 31, 1968. Sharon graduated from Van Buren High School in 1959 and from Ball State University in 1962 with a BSN in nursing. She was a member of the Central Christian Church in Van Buren, attended the Southern Heights Christian Church in Anderson, Central Christian Church in Brownsville, Texas, Connection Pointe Christian Church in Brownsburg, Indiana, and Cornerstone Church in San Antonio Texas. Sharon worked as an RN in Anderson, Indiana, and Brownsville, Texas, where she also worked for the Brownsville Independent School District.
She enjoyed reading, crafting and collectables. Sharon loved all animals, especially her three schnauzer dogs, Inga, Heidi and Greta.
Loving survivors include daughter Joanne (Bruce) Grossman, Midway, Georgia; daughter Stacy (Juan Carlos Diez) Williams, Boerne, Texas; son Joseph Michael (Fela Ponce) Williams, Richmond, Texas; grandchildren Alexis Grossman and Jordan (Dawson) Scott; and great-grandchild Blake Rose Scott; bonus granddaughter Lucia Diez; sister-in-law Meriam Hester, Carmel, Indiana; sister-in-law Barbara Fullington, Anderson, Indiana; nephews Mathew (Caleb) Fullington, Mark (Deb) Hester; niece the Rev. Donna Hester; and several cousins and beloved friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Elizabeth (Hoffman) Hester; father Virgil J. Hester; husband Joseph J. Williams; and brother Donald Hester.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home located at 201 W. Main St., Van Buren, IN 46991 on Friday, February 11, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A service to celebrate Sharon's life will be at Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2022. Burial will follow next to her husband in the Van Buren Cemetery in Van Buren.
