The Geneva School of Boerne continued play in its district tournament Tuesday by taking on Schertz John Paul II, a team they tangled with just a few weeks ago.
Geneva took the Oct. 4 meeting in Boerne against the defending state champs, but the Guardians won the rematch Tuesday in four sets, 21-25, 25-18, 25-12, 25-20.
Geneva is 22-16 overall and continues district tournament play Thursday against Holy Cross and will have another match Tuesday.
Instead of playing two rounds in district, they play one round and then have a postseason tournament to determine seeding going into the playoffs.
If the Eagles win Thursday and Tuesday, they should get third place.
In Tuesday’s match, Karynn Garrow finished with 16 kills and 13 digs, Ella Owens recorded 20 assists, 11 digs, 2 blocks, 2 aces and 1 kill, Kenzie Cates and Emily Coultress both tallied 8 digs, Ella Babic came up with 9 kills and 5 digs, Cammy Curtis added 6 digs and Lilly Kaiser chipped in with 3 digs and 2 kills.
