Boerne High wasn’t able to complete the season sweep over Wimberley in 27-4A volleyball and will have to settle for a split with the Lady Texans this year.
The Lady Greyhounds won their first-round match at home on Sept. 20 in four sets, but the Lady Texans returned the favor last Friday and beat BHS in four sets on their home court.
Wimberley won last Friday’s contest, 27-25, 19-25, 25-23, 25-23. The Lady Hounds slip to 20-15 overall and 4-5 in district with three games left.
BHS is on the road for two matches this week and played at Navarro on Tuesday and visits Canyon Lake Friday. They return home on Oct. 25 for a match with Fredericksburg to close out the regular season.
Tori Adams led the team with 6 aces, 14 kills, 0.5 blocks, 3 assists and 13 digs, Tana Lux recorded 5 aces, 6 kills, 4.5 blocks, 30 assists and 14 digs, Jayleen Reyna added 4 aces and 11 digs, Kashtin Waibel tallied 9 digs and 2 assists, Ceci Theriot finished with 4 kills, Madison Morris had 14 digs, Aubree Stegall totaled 7 kills and 3 digs, Morgan Naylor added a dig, Ava Rocchio chipped in with 9 kills, 4.5 blocks, 1 assist and 2 digs, while Paige Stegall came up with 2 kills, 2.5 blocks and 3 digs.
