Nolan J. Robertson

June 30, 1994 – February 1, 2022

Nolan J. Robertson, 27, of Boerne, Texas, passed away February 1, 2022.  He was born June 30, 1994, in El Paso, Texas, the son of James and Becky Robertson. He graduated from Champion High School in Boerne and then completed his degree in electrical engineering from UTSA in May of 2017.

Nolan spent a majority of his time studying and constantly learning as well as enjoying sports. His interests were vast, and he has always been naturally curious and quite meticulous. He made passes through rock climbing, cooking, arm wrestling and so many more. He was constantly moving through learning seasons in life. These small stops along his journey tended to last about 6-9 months and went from learning everything there is to know about a particular subject from being a barista to tennis to bowling, coding, theology, world history, investing, philosophy, soccer, chess, etc.  By the time we could catch up with him in one season he was on to another.

There were also a few areas that he loved that we never really understood, those areas were beyond our understanding. His most recent subject developed into a position in software development. He would try and try to explain what it is he did, but even on our best day we never understood. We pretended to understand, however, we think he really knew we didn’t. He absolutely enjoyed being a part of this team and the work he did at Cosmic AES.

This deep and broad background made him easy to talk to and people tended to seek him out. Nolan was always willing to help others no matter what it was. What could take someone an hour to learn he could diagnose and correct in seconds. He is someone who will be missed dearly by friends and family, never to be forgotten.

Nolan is survived by his parents, James and Becky Robertson of Boerne; his brother, Landon; and his sister, Morgan, and her husband, Briley. He also leaves his paternal grandparents, Lynn and Mattie Robertson of Boerne and his maternal grandparents, David and Jean Pistone of Odessa, Texas. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home in Boerne.  Viewing will be held at Ebensberger-Fisher from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, February 7.  The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
