The Boerne High School football team hosted Uvalde last week in the district opener for both and the Greyhounds used the opportunity to honor the community of Uvalde after the recent tragedy they experienced. There was a tailgate party for Uvalde residents, a T-38 flyover from Randolph AFB, the BHS players ran out of the tunnel with a “Uvalde Strong” banner and Boerne even fed the team after the game. Also, the Greyhound players presented an American flag, that had previously flown on a military base, to Uvalde players before the start of the game.
