The Comfort High volleyball team hosted Llano on Friday in the very first event in the brand-new Multi-Purpose Center and the Deer opened the new venue in style after they beat Llano in four sets.
Fittingly, senior Meghan Davis, who broke the school record for kills in a match with 23 earlier this year at Llano, recorded the first kill in the new arena.
Comfort won the match, 25-12, 25-16, 24-26, 25-19. With the win, the Deer improve to 22-9 on the season and 5-1 in District 5-3A play. They will travel to Brady on Tuesday.
