Geneva School of Boerne had its third straight road volleyball match last Thursday when the Eagles drove to Austin to take on Veritas Academy.
Geneva swept the Austin school after earning the 25-11, 25-12, 26-24 win. They improved to 19-15 overall and 5-1 in district.
After three on the road, Geneva was finally at home Tuesday when they hosted Schertz John Paul II. And they weren’t short trips either after the Eagles visited Corpus Christi twice and Austin and logged roughly 750 miles during that stretch, but they won all three matches.
In last Thursday’s match, Ella Babic finished with 10 kills, 5 assists, 9 digs, 1 block and 5 aces to register in all five categories, while Kenzie Cates added 8 digs, Emily Coultress tallied 11 digs, Abby Bower finished with 1 kill and 2 digs, Karynn Garrow totaled 23 kills, 2 assists, 9 digs and 5 aces, Cammy Curtis recorded 3 kills, 1 assist, 4 digs and 2 aces, Ella Owens chipped in with 2 kills, 31 assists, 15 digs and a block and Lilly Kaiser came up with 3 kills and a dig.
