Looking to make a difference in this community and worldwide? The Boerne CROP Hunger Walk Nov. 12 is an opportunity to help end hunger and poverty through long-term sustainable approaches. Twenty-five percent of the funds raised will go to support Hill Country Family Services – a vital local resource for families in crisis. Remaining funds support the international relief and development work of Church World Service.
Last year, 74 Boerne walkers raised more than $2,000. Organizers hope more participants will make an even greater impact this year.
The CROP Hunger Walk brings together all members of the community – young and old, all faiths and walks of life – for the common goal of ending hunger one step at a time! Churches, clubs, student groups and individuals are invited to participate in this interfaith CROP Hunger Walk.
The CROP Walk is Saturday, Nov. 12. Teams and individuals can register online at https:// events. crophungerwalk. org/2022/event/ boernetx. Gather at 9 a.m. and step-off at 9:30 a.m. from the parking lot of St. Mark Presbyterian Church, 208 W. Bandera Road. The 1.6-mile walk goes from Bandera Road to Main Street to River Road and back with five stops along the way where walkers can learn about local non-profits that are helping families in need.
CROP Hunger Walks help children and families worldwide – and right here in Boerne – to have food for today while building for a better tomorrow. Local efforts are making a huge difference, and everyone can help.
