Both the Boerne High and Boerne Champion tennis teams were in action this week and picked up district wins.
The Chargers were at Wagner on Tuesday and the Greyhounds visited Davenport and both rolled to easy wins.
Boerne Champion
Champion whipped Wagner, 19-0, and stays unbeaten in district at 6-0. The Chargers are 11-5 overall and scheduled to host Pieper Tuesday in Boerne on their home courts to close out the regular season before beginning postseason action.
Champion has already clinched this year’s district title since they are still undefeated in league play and the only team that can catch them record-wise is Smithson Valley, but the Chargers have already beaten the Rangers and own the tiebreaker over them.
Boerne High
The Greyhounds dropped Davenport, 19-0, on the road Wednesday and improved to 11-2 overall and 4-0 in district.
Boerne High is gearing up for a big district match Saturday against archrival Fredericksburg. Boerne and Fred go at it at 1 p.m. at the Greyhound courts.
BHS also has Wimberley left to play in district on Wednesday in Boerne.
