Navarro narrowly beats Lady Hounds

After an emotional win over Wimberley last Tuesday, the Lady Greyhound volleyball team was back on the court last Friday to challenge another tough opponent.

After an emotional win over Wimberley last Tuesday, the Lady Greyhound volleyball team was back on the court last Friday to challenge another tough opponent.

Boerne High took on Navarro in a match played at 5 p.m. because of homecoming and it was another knock-down, drag-out type of match but this time the Lady Hounds were on the short end.

The Lady Panthers won the match, 21-25, 25-17, 25-18, 18-25, 15-4. BHS drops to 18-11 overall and 2-2 in district play. They were at home Tuesday to host Canyon Lake and then visit Fred on Friday to close out the first round of 27-4A play.

Tori Adams finished with 16 kills and 25 digs, Ava Rocchio tallied 7 kills and 2.5 blocks, Paige Stegall recorded 6 kills, 4 digs and a block, Tana Lux totaled 34 assists and 15 digs, Madison Morris added 6 digs, Jayleen Reyna added 9 digs, Aubree Stegall and Ceci Theriot had 3 kills each and Riley Scheidt came up with 2 kills and a block.
