The Deer volleyball team hosted Blanco on Homecoming Friday last week and once again went to five full sets before the outcome was determined.
This time the Comfort girls came up just short and lost to the Lady Panthers, 24-26, 25-14, 17-25, 25-22, 15-13. With the loss the Deer fall to 1-1 in District 5-3A play and 18-9 overall. They hosted Ingram on Tuesday.
Meghan Davis, who just set a school record for kills in a match, recorded another double-double with 11 kills and a team-high 37 digs.
Molly Hamilton had an excellent match and led the team in assists with 33 and service aces with 4 and then was named Homecoming Queen later that night.
