Chargers win last three district matches

The Boerne Champion tennis team played three district matches in a span of four days and won all three to pick up three 26-5A wins.

The Boerne Champion tennis team played three district matches in a span of four days and won all three to pick up three 26-5A wins.

Champion played two last Saturday on the road at New Braunfels Canyon and later at Seguin. On Tuesday, the Chargers returned home and faced an improved Kerrville Tivy team.

Champion conquered Canyon, 10-1, sank Seguin 13-0 and then toppled Tivy, 11-4.

The Chargers improved to 5-0 in district and 10-4 overall.

Champion continues district play Tuesday and will try to wallop Wagner with a road match on the Thunderbird courts. Champion also has Pieper on its schedule in a match slated for early October.
