All the area basketball teams were in action Tuesday night.
The Boerne High girls basketball team opened the second round of district by hosting Bandera Tuesday for Senior Night and in the process one of the Boerne players reached a milestone.
Boerne bounced Bandera, 80-17, and Averi Aaron tallied her 1,000th career point in the first half and she’s only a sophomore.
BHS visits Davenport Friday.
The Lady Chargers were also at home and defeated Veterans Memorial, 66-23. They visit Lehman Friday.
The Boerne boys beat Bandera, 56-45. The Hounds are home Friday to host Davenport and close out the first round of district.
The Champion boys lost to Veterans Memorial on Tuesday, 63-58, to give the Patriots the season sweep of the Chargers. Champion is home Friday to host Lehman.
Comfort hosted Blanco and the girls lost by a point, 38-37. They visit Lago Vista Friday.
The Comfort boys also hosted Blanco and the Bobcats were defeated by Panthers, 90-41. CHS is at Lago Vista Friday.
The Geneva boys were scheduled to play TMI-Episcopal and the girls were scheduled to play St. Anthony.
