Eagles split last two district matches

The Geneva School of Boerne volleyball team opened district play this week with matches on Monday and Tuesday.

Geneva split the matches and beat Texas School for the Deaf on Monday and then lost on Tuesday against Austin Brentwood Christian in a marathon five-set match.

The Eagles are 15-14 overall and 1-1 in district. Geneva was home Friday to host Blanco in a non-district match.

 

Vs. Texas School for the Deaf

Geneva swept Texas School for the Deaf in three sets, 25-15, 25-7, 25-14 on Monday. 

Karynn Garrow led the Eagles with 11 kills, 8 digs and 4 aces, Ella Babic had 6 kills, 4 digs and 2 aces, Lindsay Lee finished with 5 kills, Ella Owens recorded 27 assists and Abby Bower dropped in 3 aces. 

 

Vs. Brentwood Christian

Geneva went five sets with Brentwood Christian before the Austin school prevailed, 23-25, 25-22, 25-14, 20-25, 15-13.

Karynn Garrow put up some monster stats and finished with 32 kills, 15 digs, 4 blocks, 3 assists and 2 aces, Ella Babic tallied 10 kills and 11 digs, Ella Owens recorded 40 assists, 12 digs and 2 aces, Cammy Curtis added 6 blocks, Abby Bower had 3 blocks, while Avery Eggerss had 14 digs and Ella Babic finished with 11 digs.
