Boerne High opened district volleyball action last Friday with a home match against Davenport and fell in three sets to the Lady Wolves.
Davenport won the match, 25-20, 25-20, 25-19 despite a large crowd and a raucous atmosphere at Greyhound Gym.
The Lady Hounds drop to 16-9 overall 0-1 in district. Boerne continued 27-4A action Tuesday at Bandera and don’t have a district match Friday but are scheduled to play at Clemens in a non-district tussle. After Friday, BHS resumes district action Tuesday at home against Wimberley.
In Friday’s match, Tori Adams finished with a double-double and tallied 12 kills and 16 digs, Tana Lux recorded 17 assists, 9 digs, 4 kills and 3 aces, Madison Morris came up with 8 digs, Ava Rocchio had 1.5 blocks and 3 kills, Morgan Naylor added 4 assists, Ceci Theriot had 2 kills, 3 digs and half a block, while Hayden Chappell chipped in with 5 digs.
