Ingram played well against Boerne High but not well enough to defeat the Lady Hounds volleyball team Tuesday night at Greyhound Gym.
The Lady Warriors took the first set and almost won the second, but after falling behind 1-0 in the match, BHS won the last three sets to earn the victory in four games.
Boerne downed Ingram, 23-25, 26-24, 25-15, 25-20 and is 16-8 as they close out non-district play. The Lady Hounds opened 27-4A action Friday at home against Davenport and then visit Bandera Tuesday.
BHS served well against Ingram and dropped in 13 aces, including 3 from Corinne Coale and Kashtin Waibel and 2 from Madison Morris and Tori Adams.
Paige Stegall led the team in kills with 13, Ava Rocchio added 8, Ceci Theriot had 5, while Tana Lux and Adams chipped in with 3 each.
Stegall also recorded 3.5 blocks and Rocchio and Lux had 1.5 blocks, while Lux came up with 20 assists and Aubrey Menz tallied 11 assists.
Adams finished with 20 digs, Morris had 15 digs, Jayleen Reyna added 10, Lux 8, while Stegall and Waibel both came up with 6 digs.
