Bobcats, Panthers still looking for a win

It’s back to the drawing board for the Comfort football team after the Bobcats fell to 0-2 with last Friday’s setback to Ingram.

It’s back to the drawing board for the Comfort football team after the Bobcats fell to 0-2 with last Friday’s setback to Ingram.

It’ll be a tough one for a Comfort team that visits archrival Blanco on Friday. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.

Blanco and Comfort are both still seeking their first win of the year. The Panthers lost to Poth in their opening (21-14) and to Antonian last week (24-16), while Comfort has dropped games to Johnson City (30-21) and Ingram last week (20-0).

Comfort had a hard time getting an offensive spark and was kept off the board by the Warriors last week and only totaled 84 yards from scrimmage with all 84 on the ground.

The Bobcats attempt 9 passes and only completed one that went for no yards.

Comfort QB Micah Nye had three rushes for 20 yards, while Mason West and Isaac Duran both ran for 18 yards. Topper Sterling added 13 yards and Jaydin Steward rushed for 15 yards.
