Boerne High had a rough start to Friday’s volleyball match against South San but found its rhythm and went on to sack the Lady Bobcats in four sets, 25-19, 25-13, 16-25, 25-17.
The Lady Greyhounds improve to 15-8 overall and hosted Ingram on Tuesday. After that, they open district on Friday at home against Davenport.
BHS was trailing early in the first game and had to burn a timeout to steady the ship and then went on to win the first game.
The Lady Greyhounds took the second game before the Lady Bobcats won the third game. From there, Boerne closed it out in the fourth set and then it was off to the football game.
Tori Adams had a big match with 21 kills and 23 digs to go with 1 ace, 1 block and 1 assist, while Tana Lux also had a strong match and dropped in 7 aces, along with 21 assists and 12 digs.
Madison Morris served well and added 5 aces. Paige Stegall finished with 9 kills, Ava Rocchio had 7 kills and 5 blocks, Lux tallied 21 assists, Aubrey Menz recorded 6 assists, Morgan Naylor chipped in with 4 assists, while Morris came up with 8 digs and Kashtin Waibel netted 7 digs.
