The Boerne Champion girls basketball team doubled its pleasure Friday night when the Lady Chargers visited San Antonio for a district game.
First, the Champion girls defeated Alamo Heights, and in the process, one of its players reached a personal milestone.
Champion won the game, 44-36, while senior Khiara Flugence scored 12 points to hit the 1,000-point mark in her high school career with the Chargers.
After the game, Flugence was presented with a game ball.
