LAW ENFORCEMENT
The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence, which will be decided in court at a later date. August 10
5:22 a.m., 518 E. Blanco Rd.- A door was shattered, and the attached unit was vandalized. A woman reported the door had been shot before shattering.
8:11 a.m., 1010 block Adler Rd.- A local justice of the peace found a man and woman standing on a trail suspicious.
1:09 p.m., 300 block Deer Creek- A package was stolen off a woman’s front porch after it was delivered, and she had security footage of the incident.
7:23 p.m., 100 block Ebensberger- A man reported his father pushed him while he was trying to evict his dad from the home. He said it was his mother’s home, and she wanted the father gone.
August 11
11:41 a.m., 145 Old San Antonio Rd.- A 5-year-old boy was unresponsive but breathing. A man said he was acting strange before he became limp and passed out. The boy’s eyes began moving back and forth, but he was unresponsive and unable to speak.
4:53 p.m., 441 W. Bandera Rd.- A Circle K employee wanted to report the homeless woman often seen dancing around Bandera Road for causing problems at the gas station earlier that day. The same woman was at Shang Hai several hours later throwing food at a man and his friends.
10:28 p.m., 700 block Oak Park- A woman’s cat got out earlier, and she found it stuck in the engine of a vehicle.
August 12
4:19 a.m., 1010 River Rd.- A man reported his brown F250 was stolen from the apartment complex about five minutes prior to calling.
7:29 a.m., 701 Oak Park- A man reported his F150 was broken into sometime overnight at the apartment complex.
7:34 a.m., 140 Calk Lane- A man spoke with officers about whether his mother-in-law called 911 the night before claiming someone came into her home and tried to make her cat eat a snake.
8:39 a.m., 300 block Chaparral Creek- A father reported his 21-year-old son was throwing things and yelling before locking himself in his bedroom.
3:44 p.m., 121 Old San Antonio Rd.- Roy Maas employees sought officer assistance after an individual arrived on the campus trying to speak to a juvenile residing at the facility despite a protective order in place.
5:08 p.m., 32980 I-10 W.- A man who was previously arrested by officers said he couldn’t get his belongings back, saying he called both the county jail and evidence technician, but nobody seemed to have his items. He said he’d be showing up at the police station and remain there until he was given his items back.
6:33 p.m., 300 block Lake View- A man found a lost handcuff key that an officer misplaced.
9:59 p.m., Blanco Road and Plant Street- A resident reported four women who were drunk and yelling at a gas station before entering the business. The resident was concerned the women would step into the street.
August 13
8:31 a.m., 1 block Upper Balcones- A driver was upset or concerned about 30 cyclists riding in the street where there is no bike lane.
11:07 a.m., 100 block W. San Antonio- A woman called 911 after finding a man in his 50s passed out on the sidewalk. He began to move shortly after she rendered aid, and his pulse was in the 60s.
8:01 p.m., 530 MM I-10 E.- The driver of a gold Ford Explorer with paper tags was arrested after another driver reported they were serving all over the interstate.
9:47 p.m., 153 S. Main St.- A man and woman were seen fighting, and the man was seen pushing the woman. The argument was believed to have been sparked after one of the parties backed their vehicle into the other’s.
August 14
12:08 a.m., 100 block Regent- A woman was concerned about a man lying in the grass.
2:53 a.m., Highland and Mueller- An 18-year-old man called 911 saying he just wanted to go to jail because life sucks. He said the drugs in the vehicle he left at the park weren’t his.
6:33 a.m., 128 W. Blanco Rd.- An employee with the apartment complex found a man unresponsive at the community pool, but he was alert and conscious a few minutes later.
9:02 a.m., 100 block Ernst Rd.- A house caught fire after a breaker tripped, but a man refused to leave the house as he attempted to put the flames out. First responders had the fire out about 20 minutes later.
9:53 a.m., 100 block Ricther- A woman was upset about two Airbnb’s on her street. She was told to call city hall about any ordinances relating to short-term rentals.
2:52 p.m., 100 block James St.- A woman dropped off her 6-year-old son with his aunt and cousins to play, but she couldn’t get ahold of anyone to find out where her son was at this time.
5:21 p.m., 500 block O’grady St.- A mother wanted to speak to officers about her son being stalked by his ex-girlfriend. Officers informed her that her 44-year-old son would need to call officers himself.
August 15
9:33 a.m., 35000 I-10 W.- A man appeared to be in his 40s appeared to be intoxicated, and a woman suspected he hit someone’s car in the parking lot before going into the business. The man was arrested, and animal control was called to take his dog.
10:49 a.m., 200 block Maxwell- A father was cleaning out the vehicle his son was driving when the son was arrested. The father found what he thought were bags of heroin while cleaning out the vehicle.
1:51 p.m., 1345 S. Main St.- A woman accused a Jiffy Lube employee of ruining her black Dodge Avenger.
3:22 p.m., 100 block Crosspoint- A locksmith on the way to unlock a door for a manager of a business was concerned when he hadn’t heard from the manager in a while, noting the maintenance technician and the manager had issues in the past.
August 17
10:13 a.m., 101 Herff Rd.- An employee at a local business was concerned about a man and woman who had been sitting in a car beside a building all morning.
10:50 a.m., 100 block James St.- A woman reported her 6-year-old son missing, speculating the boy’s father may have taken him.
2:33 p.m., 200 block Winding Path- A woman accused her attorney of forging her signature on legal documents.
4:10 p.m., 100 block Bentwood- A woman was upset with officers because “nothing has been done” after she complained about traffic passing through her block in the neighborhood.
4:21 p.m., 420 W. Bandera Rd.- A white Ford Expedition left without paying for the $30.14 worth of gas pumped into the SUV.
KENDALL COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
August 10
6:32 a.m., Eighth and Main streets- A tree and small building caught fire in Comfort, but it was quickly put out about 30 minutes later.
7:45 a.m., 1700 block Waterstone Parkway- About 15 cows conspired in a woman’s backyard, and she’d rather not be associated with their plans.
11:12 a.m., 100 block Flat Creek Rd.- A man evicted his niece and put her belongings on the curb, but he said she threw something on the roof of his house.
12:32 p.m., 533 MM I-10 E.- Local firefighters spend about two hours putting out a 2-acre grass fire, but they were successful in the end.
6:56 p.m., Staudt Street- A woman was concerned about her nieces and nephews because her sister lived out of a van with her three kids. She was concerned the kids weren’t eating due to lack of funds.
9:55 p.m., 1 Doeskin Dr.- A father was upset his teenage child brought drugs into the house.
August 11
6:58 a.m., 200 block Waring-Welfare Rd.- Two cows had an early morning meeting in the middle of the road.
8:28 a.m., 200 block Herff Ranch- A mother became concerned when her son was reporting missing from Voss Middle School after he was supposed to have caught the bus to school. School staff eventually found him in class.
11:37 a.m., 200 block Doeskin Dr.- A man was concerned when his soon-to-be-ex-brother-in-law was beginning to get hostile. The brother and his wife were going through a divorce.
12:47 p.m., Hwy 46 and Coughran Road- A man dumped a crate of kittens on the side of the road.
5:42 p.m., 10 block Shady Oak Lane- A man got into a tiff with his neighbor when he found cow feces on his property.
7:07 p.m., 913 block Hwy 46 E.- A woman was seen stumbling out of her vehicle, with alcohol inside her SUV, on her way to buy more booze.
August 12
1:45 a.m., Hwy 473 and Amber- A Comfort man was arrested at Executive Inn in Comfort.
12:45 p.m., 54000 block I-10 W.- A man was concerned about two horses laying in field because he didn’t see any hay or water nearby.
4:31 p.m., 523 MM I-10 E.- Six subjects were detained by local deputies after Kerr County officers asked for assistance tracking down subjects that fled on foot from a traffic stop.
7:25 p.m., 100 block Madrone- A resident was sick and tired of a motorcycle speeding through the neighborhood.
8:58 p.m., 100 block Mustang Run- A man reported his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend assaulted him while they were drunk.
August 13
7:21 a.m., 300 block FM 289- A wild Huskey was running around the area, which concerned a woman because she said the same dog killed her puppy in the past. So, she said the loose dog was holding her dog and kids hostage in her home.
10:03 a.m., 531 MM I-10 E.- A man was taken into custody during a traffic stop after a K9 alerted deputies.
3:22 p.m., 900 block Hwy 46 E.- A man reported his RV was broken into, noting the neighboring RV may have been burglarized as well.
7:36 p.m., 20 block Rust Lane- Four minors flipped an ATV, causing one child to show signs of a head injury and the others indicating leg, back and hip injuries. One of the patients was airlifted to the hospital.
7:42 p.m., 580 Sunflower- A woman called deputies because a man was yelling at a kid at the pool. The man was trying to encourage his son to jump in the pool.
8:01 p.m., 530 MM I-10 E.- The driver of a gold Ford Explorer with paper tags was arrested after someone reported they were swerving all over the interstate.
August 14
12:03 a.m., 100 block Cibolo Creek- A man was arrested, but the reports only indicate he was identified as a suspicious person.
8:54 a.m., 30 block Hwy 87 N.- A vehicle caught fire in Comfort on the state highway, but first responders had the flames out within 20 minutes.
11:21 a.m., 100 block Oak Bluff Blvd- A woman reported her boyfriend took her vehicle after being “up for days” and refusing to tell her whether he’d been doing drugs or not.
4:35 p.m., 918 Adler Rd.- A man arrested the night before showed up at KW Towing to get his vehicle and retrieve his wallet and phone.
6:44 p.m., 100 block Resty Run- A father was upset a registered sex offender was near his children and causing a disturbance.
10:07 p.m., 37101 I-10 E.- A group of about 10 bikers riding Harleys were arguing near the Valero and some of the riders pulled out guns before speeding off down the interstate, clocking about 105 miles per hour.
August 15
7:30 a.m., 200 block Hwy 46 W.- A three-vehicle accident left deputies shutting off access to a portion of the state highway. One passenger reported a broken femur and another reported shoulder pain and injury. No life-threatening injuries were reported, but one of the vehicles went through a fence attempting to avoid the other vehicles.
8:20 a.m., 400 block Kreutzberg Rd.- Construction debris was dumped on the side of the road about two feet-high.
9:45 a.m., Gilbert Lane- A father reported his daughter was sexually assaulted by a 25-year-old man in 2018 when his daughter was 14 years old. The man is now in prison but wrote a letter to his daughter, so the man was advised to notify an assistant district attorney.
3:58 p.m., 523 MM I-10 E.- The driver of a small sports car ran off the interstate after experiencing dizziness and shoulder pain.
8:08 p.m., 600 block Walnut Way- A 19-year-old woman was arrested after she got drunk and caused a scene at her parents’ house.
11:34 p.m., 580 Sunflower- A woman was arrested after she cut a 6-inch laceration on her roommate’s arm during an argument.
August 16
8:59 a.m., 200 block FM 289- A cow took a stroll along the state highway, stopping just past PoPo Family Restaurant.
9:38 a.m., 700 block Deer Rd.- A woman’s son in law was sending threatening text messages and knocked over the woman’s mailbox before heading off to his wife’s place of employment.
11:49 a.m., 216 High St.- A 12-year-old student at Comfort Middle School began hyperventilating in the nurse’s office. The nurse called 911 when the boy became rigid, and his lips started turning a dark color.
2:34 p.m., 700 block Deer Rd.- A man who was recently served divorce papers by his wife, with whom he still shared a home, was shot at by another man when he went to pick up some belongings. He wasn’t hurt but reported the incident to deputies.
3:33 p.m., 100 block Milagro- A woman changed the lock to the mailbox her and her husband share while they were going through a divorce, and she refused to give him a copy of the key to check for his mail.
August 17
7:16 a.m., 1200 block N. Main St.- Four horses cut across a woman’s driveway on their way to Shooting Club Road.
1:25 p.m., 100 block Highland Woods- A sexual offense was reported in Kendalia. No other details were reported.
5:24 p.m., 100 block Estancia Lane- A man noticed one of his windows appeared to be shot out, but he wasn’t sure how or when it happened.
5:43 p.m., 100 block Oak Bluff Blvd.- An employee with the Boerne Public Works Department was continually taunting a man, stopping by the man’s house and harassing him. The man said the employee had been put on administrative leave before for doing this, and deputies advised the man to call a justice of the peace to get a restraining order.
