Boerne High had a very strong showing at the Progreso boys soccer tournament held last weekend in the Rio Grande Valley.

It was a long drive for the Greyhounds but they made the most of it by winning the event. BHS picked up 4 wins and had one tie but no losses and didn’t give up a single goal all weekend.

The Greyhounds improve to 7-2-1 after its 4-0-1 showing over the weekend.

Boerne’s only tie came against Hidalgo after neither team could generate any offense and the match ended in a 0-0 stalemate.

Boerne’s four wins all came via the shutout after they drove past Mercedes, 2-0 and also defeated Mission Pioneer by the same score, 2-0.

The Greyhounds had its best offensive output of the tourney against London and picked up the 4-0 win and they also shutdown Harlingen South, 2-0.
