The Geneva School of Boerne volleyball team didn’t have to travel far last weekend to play in its second tournament of the year.
Geneva was entered in the Boerne ISD Tournament held at Boerne Champion and Boerne High where the Eagles went up against some tough public schools and posted a 1-5 record.
Geneva is 7-9 overall and won’t have to travel at all this weekend because they’ll be hosting their own tournament on Friday and Saturday.
At the Boerne ISD tourney, Geneva opened the event on Friday by playing three matches. The Eagles lost to Corpus Christi Flour Bluff, 25-17, 25-23 and then fell to Laredo Alexander, 25-19, 26-24, before losing to La Vernia in two sets, 25-23, 25-15.
The Eagles returned on Saturday and lost to Davenport in three sets, 25-7, 24-26, 25-15. Geneva also played Blanco and lost 25-20, 28-26, before defeating Hondo, 25-19, 13-25, 25-12, for its lone win of the tourney.
