The Boerne Champion volleyball team continues its impressive start to the season, picking up another victory on Tuesday to improve to 8-1 overall.
Champion swept MacArthur Tuesday at Charger Gym, 25-21, 25-17, 25-21. Up next, Champion co-hosts the Boerne ISD Volleyball Tournament Friday and Saturday with matches at BHS and Champion.
In Tuesday’s match, Kelsey Rogers dropped in 5 aces and tallied 9 kills, Sadie Hoyt added 2 aces, Emma Wegleitner finished with 11 kills, Izzy Maszak tallied 16 assists and 5 digs, Ryann Michalec recorded 15 assists and 6 digs, Ella Coleman added 5 digs, Gabriela Rossello led the team in digs with a baker’s dozen 13, while Wegleitner, Rogers and Emmy Koke all had 2 shots.
