The Comfort Deer traveled to Llano on Tuesday to take on the Llano Lady Jackets in District 25-3A competition.
Comfort was short-handed because of COVID-19 but two JV players stepped up and performed well in helping the Deer record the 42-16 win.
Comfort is at home Friday to take on Ingram.
After a slow start that saw Llano take an early 8-5 lead, the Comfort girls poured it on, outscoring the Lady Jackets the rest of the way, 37-8.
Comfort outscored the Yellowjackets in the second, 9-1, and went into halftime with a 14-9 lead.
The Deer pulled away in the third by winning the quarter 18-0, which means they held Llano to just one point in the second and third periods.
