SAN ANTONIO – Boerne High was entered in the Northeast/Northside Volleyball Tournament last weekend and posted a 2-4 record.

BHS is 4-4 overall and continues its season at home Tuesday against Holmes at 6 p.m. After that, the Lady Greyhounds help co-host the Boerne ISD Tournament this weekend.

Boerne drew tough teams right out of the gate and played some really good squads all weekend.

They opened pool play on Friday against Smithson Valley, Warren and Roosevelt.

BHS lost to Smithson Valley, 25-20, 25-17. Up next, the Lady Greyhounds faced Warren and lost to the 6A Warriors, 25-13, 25-11.

Boerne High closed out the first day of pool play by sweeping Roosevelt, 25-19, 25-13.

The Lady Greyhounds returned on Saturday and picking up another win, defeating brand-new school Sotomayor in three sets, 25-19, 22-25, 25-8.

From there, Boerne battled with Laredo United South and played three tough sets but lost, 25-23, 22-25, 25-19.

In its final match of the tournament, the Lady Greyhounds faced another quality opponent and put up a good fight but came up short against Floresville. The Lady Tigers won in three sets, 25-21, 24-26, 25-19.
