Student honors

Michael Valentine of Boerne has been named to Southern New Hampshire University’s winter 2022 Dean’s List. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 are named to the list.

Teekeeta White of Boerne was recently initiated into the Indiana State University Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society. The Society welcomed 1,971 new initiates from 78 universities during April 2022. Students initiated into the Society must be sophomores, juniors, seniors or graduate/professional students in the top 35 percent of their class, demonstrate leadership experience in at least one of the five pillars and embrace the ODK ideals.

Abilene Christian University awarded 836 degrees in May in three ceremonies taking place on Anthony Field at Wildcat Stadium. The following local students earned degrees:Sydney Moreland of Fair Oaks Ranch graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor of science in social work.Lillian Sell of Boerne graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor of science in interior design. Students whose GPAs are at least 3.6 graduate cum laude (with honor), 3.75 graduate magna cum laude (with high honor) and 3.9 graduate summa cum laude (with highest honor).

Schreiner University has named qualified students to its President’s and Dean’s lists. To be eligible for the President’s List, full-time students must earn at least a 4.0 grade point average for the term, passing all classes, and have at least 12 hours credit for the term. To qualify for the Dean’s List, a full-time student must have passing grades in all courses and, must earn at least a 3.50 grade point average and at least 12 hours credit for the term.
