LAW ENFORCEMENT

The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence, which will be decided in court at a later date. BOERNE POLICE DEPARTMENT

June 23

11:26 a.m., 200 block River Rd.- A woman found a pile of phone cases and phone while out walking.

12:04 p.m., 420 W. Bandera Rd.- A mother accidentally locked her keys in her car with her child while the car was off. Her husband showed up 12 minutes later with a spare set of keys.

6:38 p.m., 420 W. Bandera Rd.- A white Jeep drove off without paying for gas.

8:39 p.m., 1000 Diamond- A woman who complains about pool visitors often called 911 to report about 30 people in the pool making an “obscene amount of noise.” She called back at 9:59 p.m. saying 10 people remained at the pool after it closed.

June 24

2:47 a.m., 500 block S. Plant- A woman was concerned about a helicopter circling the city.

7:41 a.m., 200 Ryan St.- A woman reported an employee at Care Choice leaves their dog in the car with the windows up every day. Animal control was notified.

8:42 a.m., 124 E. Bandera Rd.- A 38-year-old man was back at a store for the fifth day in a row, screaming at someone on the phone and banging on the business door.

9:35 a.m., 300 River Rd.- A man watched an older man in his 50s or 60s follow two teenage girls on the walking trail before getting in his car and following them further.

6:15 p.m., 448 S. Main St.- A man got drunk at Cibolo Creek Brewing Co. and became belligerent, peeing outside and attempting to fight people. Officers detained the man.

10:15 p.m., 545 MM I-10 W.- A man was arrested after a fellow driver reported a blue Jeep Liberty that was failing to maintain lanes, driving in the shoulder of the interstate.

June 25

2:50 a.m., 825 Johns Rd.- A man along with two others saw three or four men attempt to break into a Ford F150 at the apartment complex. The assailants fled when they saw the residents.

9:11 a.m., 428 W. Bandera Rd.- A man and woman were seen throwing clothes at each other behind the building where Church’s Chicken used to be.

10:27 a.m., 1 Greyhound Lane- Two contractors working on the football stadium got into a heated argument over payment.

3:26 p.m., 300 block S. Main St.- A woman reported a lot of jay walking going on between Blanco and River roads.

4:33 p.m., 400 block W. Bandera Rd.- An individual was arrested during a traffic stop.

8:34 p.m., 430 W. Bandera Rd.- A number has repeatedly called Shang Hai Chinese Restaurant and harassed employees using racial slurs for the past year.

June 26

12:09 a.m., 701 Oak Park- A woman reported six or seven drunk people were at the pool with a dog.

3:47 a.m., 35100 block I-10- A woman was arrested after crashing her vehicle into a ditch.

8:25 a.m., 100 block Bluebonnet Circle- The community mailboxes were broken into.

11:39 a.m., 1327 S. Main St.- A man who kept harassing a Burger King employee was now threatening to show up to choke and kill her. A protective order was applied for but hadn’t been received yet. The man called officers wanting to file charges against her.

6:35 p.m., 100 block S. Plant- A woman asked deputies to standby while she conducted a meeting with people she had a law suit with near the community mailboxes. She said she was afraid of them.

June 27 2:19 a.m., 100 block Cimarron

2:19 a.m., 100 block Cimarron Creek- A man who wished to remain anonymous reported kids were shining lasers at people’s homes, but he could track them down.

8:51 a.m., 200 block Jordan Place- A man’s backyard was flooded, and he claimed someone came into his yard and turned his water on overnight.

10:25 a.m., 100 block Cimarron Creek- A resident reported a neighbor was smoking marijuana at their own home while the resident was swimming a couple days before. They just wanted the police to be aware.

11:51 a.m., 33125 I-10 W.- An employee at Lone Star Automotive and Diesel Service reported a customer was trying to leave without paying his bill. While the altercation was only verbal at the time of the call, the employee was concerned it might get physical.

5:20 p.m., 125 Crosspoint- A man reported a 10-year-old boy was trying to break into vehicles while his mother was away at work for the day.

KENDALL COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

June 23

7:46 a.m., 200 block Hillview- A resident reported a woman was in the middle of the road spitting at cars as they drove by. Deputies located the woman who was watering her lawn and lowered the music she was playing.

1:33 p.m., Old Curry Creek Road- A man’s motorcycle broke down in Spring Branch, and he walked all the way to Bergheim. Deputies could not give the man a courtesy ride.

2:45 p.m., 1000 block FM 1376- A woman requested deputies standby for her baptism because her cousin was threatening to shoot her and her husband.

5:17 p.m., 1014 Front St.- A man was concerned another man at The Cocky Rooster was going to drive drunk. He didn’t see the man drive but assumed he was drunk because he was sitting at the bar.

9:54 p.m., 600 block Hwy 46 W.- A man was arrested during a traffic stop, and his dogs were taken to the animal shelter.

June 24

11:52 a.m., 200 block Hillview- A woman said she received empty boxes from Apple after purchasing a new iPhone twice. She said UPS refunded the major retailer, but they refused to refund her.

3:24 p.m., 43 Hwy 87 N.- A box truck was being worked on at Love’s Truck Care, and an employee was concerned when they heard knocking coming from the trailer. Deputies checked it out and found a whole bunch of canned tuna but no “soul or animal inside the trailer.”

5:59 p.m., 100 block Esperanza- A woman reported her brother may be driving drunk in the neighborhood, saying he had slurred speech and his body language indicated he was intoxicated.

June 25

7:39 a.m., 300 block FM 3351 S.- A wrecker was called when a Dodge Ram attempted to turn around and stalled.

10:33 a.m., 300 block FM 3351 S.- A man set up an orange lawn chair and began directing traffic for a tow truck.

11:06 a.m., 100 block Ten West Dr.- A 34-year-old man reported his 64-yearold mother hit him because she was upset that he requested a welfare check on her.

7:36 p.m., 600 block Hwy 46 E.- A couple of kids accidentally called 911, leaving dispatchers concerned when they couldn’t distinguish between screaming and laughing. A police system showed the man who owned the phone as being a danger to law enforcement, but all ended up being fine.

June 26

2:47 a.m., 125 Idlewilde Blvd.- A woman reported her neighbor was smoking outside her window again. She said he went inside because he knew she was calling police, so she asked them to patrol by again at 6 a.m.

6:39 p.m., 537 MM I-10 W.- An employee with LoJack reported a stolen vehicle was in the area since for about an hour.

8:46 p.m., 100 block Paradise Pass- A resident heard neighbors arguing, saying it was getting really bad and that the neighbors had been drinking.

8:58 p.m., 300 block Los Indios Ranch Rd.- An employee at Nova Joy reported a 15-year-old boy pushed a 12-year-old boy down, flipped a table and punched a hole in the wall.

June 27

3:28 a.m., 6 Staudt St.- A man turned himself in for an arrest warrant right after getting out of federal custody.

12:27 p.m., 300 block Blue Heron Blvd.- A woman became concerned when a tan F150 began following her, tailgating and honking at her for reasons she didn’t understand.

2:28 p.m., Staudt Street- A man showed up to adult probation services, and the employees informed deputies he had two active arrest warrants he wasn’t aware of. The man was arrested.

2:56 p.m., 600 block Main St.- Four teenagers were at the football fields in Comfort, and a man reported them. The students were taking photos of the rain and thunder from the sky box at the stadium.

3:07 p.m., 10040 block Johns Rd.- A billy goat got his head stuck in a fence.

5:48 p.m., 100 block FM 474- A steer got its head stuck in a panel at a new arena built in the area.

7:30 p.m., 200 block River Forest Dr.- A woman reported hearing a loud explosion. A resident’s son had set off a firecracker in their shed.
