KCFA extends fair queen pageant deadline

The Kendall County Fair Association has extended the deadline for interested girls to enter er the scholarship pageant scheduled for Thursday evening, Sept. 1, at the Kendall County Fairgrounds.

The Kendall County Fair Association has extended the deadline for interested girls to enter er the scholarship pageant scheduled for Thursday evening, Sept. 1, at the Kendall County Fairgrounds.

The event kicks off the annual fair and rodeo. “Do you live in or attend

“Do you live in or attend school in Kendall County? Are you an incoming freshmen through senior?” information from the KCFA states. “You are eligible to run for a position on the court.”

The deadline has been extended to July 26. Girls may request a packet by visiting www.kcfa.com.

Sushanna Cobb, 2021 Kendall County Fair queen, will pass the crown to her successor during the pageant.

The queen pageant has been a mainstay at the county fair since 1949, when five girls entered. Today, contestants are judged on poise and grace, a speech, personal interview and an onstage question.

The annual Kendall County Fair & Rodeo is scheduled for Sept. 1-4.
