LAW ENFORCEMENT

The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department, Kendall County Sheriff’s Department and the Fair Oaks Ranch Police Department. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence which will be decided in court at a later date. January 5

4:58 a.m., 35000 I-10 W.- A man reported his 2019 Chevy stolen.

6:13 a.m., 34935 I-10 W.- A man reported his 2018 GMC Sierra was stolen from the Hampton Inn & Suites.

7:46 a.m., 700 block Oak Park- A man reported his Chevy Silverado was broken into overnight.

8:32 a.m., 31205 I-10 W.- A Toyota of Boerne employee reported finding several license plates in a rental vehicle picked up in San Antonio. The customer picked up the rental in Boerne but refused to return it, so it was picked up in San Antonio. The plates on the rental had also been changed out.

8:40 a.m., 700 block Oak Park- Another vehicle was reported burglarized.

8:56 a.m., 34935 IH-10 W.- Another vehicle was reported stolen out of the Boerne Hampton Inn & Suites.

9:40 a.m., 100 block July Lane- A woman reported her uncle, grandma and mom were all arguing, and she was concerned it may become physical.

10:55 a.m., 33800 block I-10 E.- A motorcycle and an Acura collided, with the motorcycle rear-ending the car. The bike rider got up after the accident but laid back down, but it’s unclear what kind of injuries if any were caused.

4:44 p.m., 1200 block S. Main St.- Officers took a man into custody after a resident found him with his broken-down truck partially blocking the roadway and said the man seemed intoxicated.

Officers also conducted 10 security checks, made five traffic stops, assisted the public 19 times, removed two traffic hazards and worked two false alarms, one non-injury accident and two reckless drivers.

January 6

2:17 a.m., 540 MM I-10 W.- A man and a woman were arrested during a traffic stop after a red grinder was thrown out their vehicle window before stopping.

7:32 a.m., Cascade Caverns Road- A man reported the tailgate was stolen off the back of his truck.

8:47 a.m., 100 block Jolie- A woman called 911 because her ex-boyfriend was in her backyard, banging on her door and threatening to commit suicide by cop. He left her property shortly after, and officers located him at the AMC theater.

11:03 a.m., 100 block July Lane- A resident reported their sister was “flipping out,” complaining about spiders. The resident said their sister was on meth and trying to “get a fix.”

3:19 p.m., 1201 S. Main St.- A man reported his ex-wife, who works at a doctor’s office, was ordering and picking up a Tramadol prescription under his name and taking it herself.

Officers also conducted eight security checks, made three traffic stops, assisted the public 24 times, removed three traffic hazards and worked four false alarms and two non-injury accidents.

January 7

12:31 a.m., 100 block Roeder- Two men were arrested after banging on a resident’s door, yelling at him or her and trying to enter their home.

10:20 a.m., 543 MM I-10 W.- A man in a grey jacket was rolling around next to the highway.

11:11 a.m., 100 bock Cold River- A woman reported a bald man went onto her porch the night before and damaged her welcome sign.

6:53 p.m., 400 block W. Bandera Rd.- A man was arrested during a traffic stop.

Officers also conducted 13 security checks, made 16 traffic stops, assisted the public 12 times, removed two traffic hazards and worked eight false alarms, two non-injury accidents and two reckless drivers.

KENDALL COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

January 5

9:16 a.m., Upper Cibolo Creek Road and Sky Rose Ranch- A woman stated she was locked in on her property because her neighbor shut a gate.

10:15 a.m., 200 block Hwy 46W.- A man was concerned for the homeless woman often seen pushing a grocery cart because she was standing close to the road. Deputies located her and found she was resting off the roadway and would continue walking along the shoulder.

5:18 p.m., 522 MM I-10 E.- Kendall County deputies assisted Kerr County in stopping a family of four Romanian visitors, suspecting they were smuggling a vehicle out of New Mexico. After a translator was called, they did not suspect the family was smuggling anything.

6:23 p.m., 500 block Hwy 46 E.- A red SUV flipped on the state highway. A passerby stopped and found the woman was breathing but unresponsive, and he could not get her out of the vehicle.

10:32 p.m., 43 Hwy 87 N.- A man pushed a child in the Love’s Travel Stop in Comfort, causing a four-person fight to break out in the convenience store.

Deputies also made five traffic stops, assisted the public 16 times, removed three traffic hazards, served a warrant and worked one false alarm, two non-injury accidents, one animal call and one reckless driver.

January 6

2:17 a.m., 540 MM I-10 W.- A man and woman were arrested after a traffic stop. The driver threw something out of the window during the stop, which was later found to be a red grinder presumably for marijuana.

5:06 a.m., 43 Hwy 87 N.- A Smith & Wesson handgun was found in the women’s restroom at the Love’s Travel Stop in Comfort.

11:22 a.m., J Williams Road- A woman reported her daughter deposited a $40,737 check for her, but her daughter then took the money. She said her daughter then came to her home the day before yelling at her.

1:38 p.m., 20 E. Tapatio Dr.- A woman called 911 to report her neighbor was slamming doors, yelling and banging on the ceiling. A deputy contacted the neighbor and asked her to respect her neighbors as well as herself and her home.

Deputies also conducted a security check, made nine traffic stops, assisted the public 18 times, removed two traffic hazards, served two warrants and worked three false alarms and one reckless driver.

January 7

1:13 a.m., 200 block Cold River- An older man was walking around the neighborhood, banging on doors and saying he was freezing.

11:46 a.m., 100 block North Star Court- A woman reported her information was stolen from the Boerne ISD computer system and used to start unemployment benefits.

3:21 p.m., Cibolo Avenue and Oak Bluff Boulevard- A man reported his neighbors were retaliating against him and his wife for reporting the neighbor’s dog to animal control after it lunged at his service dog. The neighbor was flipping off his wife and yelling at her.

5:36 p.m., Hwy 87 and Hwy 27- A drunk driver was stopped after hitting a sign, which TxDOT said it would replace the next Monday.

9:28 p.m., 527 MM I-10 E.- Two vehicles were flashing lights at a driver and were swerving to keep him from passing.

Deputies also made 26 traffic stops, assisted the public 11 times, removed two traffic hazards, served three warrants and worked three false alarms, three non-injury accidents and six reckless drivers.
