Three suspects led Boerne police officers, Kendall County Sheriff’s Office deputies and state troopers on a multi-county chase last Saturday before fleeing on foot. So far, two of the three suspects have been arrested, but one remains at large.
Information from the Texas Department of Public Safety states a trooper attempted to stop a black BMW for a traffic violation on Interstate 10 West in Kerr County at about 10:15 p.m. Jan. 15. However, the vehicle refused to stop and fled from the trooper, heading into Kendall County.
According to the Boerne Police Department call sheets for that day, officers attempted to deploy vehicle-stopping spike several times before successfully deploying spikes at a bridge on Bandera Road in Boerne near the Walgreens. The BMW was confirmed stolen by Boerne police officers shortly after it was successfully stopped, according to the call sheets.
Once the vehicle was stopped, the three subjects fled the scene on foot. One suspect was stopped and arrested shortly after the incident, but two were at large. The only arrest reported Jan. 15 was 18-year-old Cody Pryor of Pearland, Texas, but he was charged with possession of marijuana in an amount less than 2 ounces. It is unclear if he was arrested in relation to the chase.
There is no information of the second arrest.
Information from Texas DPS states the three suspects are being charged with evading arrest with a vehicle and indicates other charges may be applied pending an investigation. The Boerne PD call sheets indicate an officer found a shell casing and an empty pistol bag.
No description was provided for the subject still at large. However, a helicopter search was conducted by DPS Jan. 16, according to the Boerne PD call sheets, after a man reported his son saw a man wearing dark clothing, a beanie and a hood run north along Plant Street. When the individual was located, it was determined it was not subject being sought.
