LAW ENFORCEMENT
The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence, which will be decided in court at a later date. December 15
6:50 a.m., 100 block Jolie Circle- A woman reported her 8-foot snowman was stolen from her front yard.
1:25 p.m., 540 MM I-10 E.- An older couple was seen driving a Honda Pilot the wrong way on the interstate.
2:42 p.m., 1 Greyhound Lane- A student at Boerne High School was found to be in possession of tobacco.
4:33 p.m., 918 Adler Rd.- A man went to gather his belongings from a vehicle at K W Towing, but staff was told to contact officers if he showed up. He was arrested.
December 16
12:02 a.m., Main Street and Johns Road- A man saw water spraying about four feet in the air near city hall. It was a broken sprinkler head.
11:18 a.m., 1200 block S. Main St.- Traffic control was needed when a driver lost his hay to the highway.
3:39 p.m., 100 block Hampton Cove- Three teenagers were riding around in an SUV yelling at people walking in the neighborhood. A woman didn’t like it.
9:11 p.m., 300 block Herff Ranch- A woman was concerned about a news report she saw on television about TikTok videos encouraging kids across the country to bring guns to school.
10:50 p.m., 31138 I-10 W.- A woman said another lady at the bar punched her in the face before bar staff tried to close her out and get her to leave. The assailant left before officers arrived, but the caller suspected she was well known at the bar.
Officers also conducted nine security checks, made 18 traffic stops, assisted the public 19 times, removed a traffic hazard and worked seven non-injury accidents and three reckless drivers.
December 17
7:06 a.m., 300 block E. Hwy 46- A white truck was overturned on the state highway. Emergency responders got there and attempted to perform life-saving measures, but the driver died on the scene.
11:05 a.m., 100 block Park Place- Officers helped Blanco County deputies locate a 13-year-old girl who ran away from home. She was at a basketball court in town.
1:07 p.m., 1000 block Diamond- A woman showed up at the police station, visibly shaken, to report physical family violence.
2:01 p.m., Johns Road and Main Street- A woman was concerned about a 14-year-old boy laying on his backpack in front of the old Boerne ISD central office building. He was waiting for his parents.
3:19 p.m., 100 block Regent- A mother lost her 4-year-old son for about five minutes at the park. She found him in their vehicle.
5:56 p.m., Calk Lane and W. San Antonio Street- A resident’s dogs got loose and chased a man’s elderly father-in-law, which caused him to fall. The father-in-law was heading back to his residence, and the dogs returned home.
Officers also conducted six security checks, made five traffic stops, assisted the public 23 times, removed four traffic hazards and worked six false alarms, two non-injury accidents and three reckless drivers.
December 18
12:24 a.m., 400 block W. Bandera Rd.- A grandmother reported her grandson for taking a vehicle without her permission.
4:44 a.m., 540 MM I-10 E.- A three-vehicle accident left at least two vehicles unable to drive and both lanes of the interstate shut down. No injuries were reported.
9:53 a.m., 119 W. Kronkosky Place- About five or six parents got involved when a father tried to fight people over a children’s sporting event at the Catholic Church.
5:35 p.m., 100 block Brunswick- A man reported his wife was trying to kick him out of the house while he has Stage 4 cancer after an argument about medication.
Officers also conducted 14 security checks, made 19 traffic stops, assisted the public 23 times, removed a traffic hazard and worked four false alarms, three non-injury accidents, one animal call and two reckless drivers.
KENDALL COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
December 15
2:20 p.m., 200 block Scarlet Ridge Dr.- A woman reported her soon-to-be-ex-husband left Monday in her vehicle with their two children.
3:07 p.m., 41000 block I-10 W.- A woman was concerned about a man she saw lying the grass with a backpack on. He was heading to El Paso, and a deputy gave him a bit of a courtesy ride.
5 p.m., 20 block Greco Bend- A woman was concerned when she saw her neighbors using the portable bathrooms on a construction site in her neighborhood, suspecting they may be living without water.
Deputies also made 14 traffic stops, assisted the public 18 times, removed two traffic hazards, served two warrants and worked three false alarms, two non-injury accidents, two animal calls and three reckless drivers.
December 16
10:58 a.m., 300 block Hwy 46 W.- A passerby saw a man crawling out of an overturned vehicle with a child still inside. The passengers were taken to the hospital in an ambulance.
3:26 p.m., 100 block Cascade Caverns Rd.- A man reported his ex-wife for violating a custody agreement to let him see his children. The ex-wife was arrested, but the father called back later saying she took the kids early from school even though he was there to pick them up.
Deputies also made nine security checks, assisted the public nine times, removed two traffic hazards, served a warrant and worked one false alarm and two non-injury accidents.
December 17
10:32 a.m., 200 block Hwy 46 W.- A man in his 70s was pinned under a tractor, but a doctor was helping him within five minutes of the first call to 911.
2:06 p.m., 700 block Cypress Bend- A man was letting a woman stay with him at his home. He lent her his car the day before, but she hadn’t returned. He wanted to know if deputies could track his vehicle, but they couldn’t. He didn’t want to file a report at the time.
4:54 p.m., Esperanza and Cordova- A woman tracked her stolen vehicle to what appeared to be a dirt road at a dead end in the Esperanza subdivision.
9:38 p.m., 100 block Rolling View Dr.- A woman reported a truck speeding through her neighborhood going over 60 miles per hour with teenagers in the bed. She suspected they were going to a house party behind her home where she also suspected underage drinking was happening.
Deputies also made 28 traffic stops, assisted the public 15 times, removed a traffic hazard and worked five false alarms, two non-injury accidents and two reckless drivers.
December 18
12:04 a.m., 200 block FM 473- A woman reported guests at an Airbnb were smoking marijuana. A deputy couldn’t determine which room the odor was coming from, so he suggested the woman handle it through Airbnb if she can determine which room it was happening in.
6:59 a.m., 524 MM I-10 W.- A woman reported losing her luggage on the interstate. She found it.
6:24 p.m., 100 block Poehnert- A woman was told deputies would patrol her neighborhood more after she and her husband reported several people speeding in the area. However, she received a call from someone named Austin who claimed to be with the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. The Austin in the office said he didn’t call her.
Deputies also made 31 traffic stops, assisted the public 16 times, removed two traffic hazards and worked one false alarm, four non-injury accidents, one animal call and four reckless drivers.
