LAW ENFORCEMENT

The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence, which will be decided in court at a later date. Boerne Police Department

May 21

3:07 a.m., School and Graham streets- An individual called 911 crying that a car was in a tree, and dispatchers suspected it was a juvenile.

5:03 a.m., 1381 S. Main St.- A mother contacted officers when her son told her a coworker was threatening him, noting her son had autism.

7:48 a.m., 37101 I-10 E.- An individual was arrested during a traffic stop.

8:03 a.m., 500 block E. Bandera Rd.- A woman asked officers to patrol by a funeral later that morning. She wasn’t expecting any issues but wanted was worried about the small funeral.

9:05 a.m., 1300 block S. Main St.- A man got locked inside his car when his battery died.

3:38 p.m., 800 block N. Main St.- A woman was arrested for loitering and/or soliciting.

5:33 p.m., 711 River Rd.- A man reported another man was beating up his girlfriend in the parking lot of the apartment complex, hitting her head into a car door. Eventually the girlfriend made into a friend’s apartment and locked herself in, but the man began banging on the door.

8:49 p.m., 134 Menger Springs- After a mother died, one bother accused the other brother of poisoning her. So, a local justice of the peace requested an autopsy.

 

May 22

12:58 a.m., 534 MM I-10 E.- Nine individuals were detained during a traffic stop.

8:31 a.m., 518 Fabra- An opossum was side-rolling around the parking lot. Animal came and picked up the thrill seeker.

9:25 a.m., 200 block Johns Rd.- A woman was arrested during a traffic stop.

10:43 a.m., 1 Main Plaza- A woman reported a man wearing neon organ tennis shoes for walking his dog without a leash.

11:16 a.m., 518 Fabra- A woman was found on a resident’s patio unresponsive. The woman had died.

2:39 p.m., 100 block Turtle Creek- A woman called to report two snakes in her backyard, including one little, two-inch guy and a bigger brown snake curled up.

6:46 p.m., River and Esser roads- A man was passed out in a black Tahoe at the intersection. He then woke up and ran through the red light, turning left onto River Road. The man was arrested.

 

Kendall County Sheriff’s Office

May 21

7:13 a.m., 531 MM I-10 W.- A man reported someone cut a strap on his truck and stole two tarps.

8:12 a.m., 200 block Rio Cordillera- A resident trapped an armadillo. They made sure to leave the trap in the shade until animal control could pick it up.

11 a.m., 40 block Bella Springs- A couple of exes sought mediation through the sheriff’s office, but a deputy refused to remain there for hours while they peacefully exchanged property. The man had left his ex-partners items on a trailer off his property covered with a tarp so she would stay off the property. The woman called back later to say her ex arrived back at his home but wasn’t causing a disturbance.

11:43 a.m., 100 block Dodge Rd.- A mother wanted her daughter to leave her property because she suspected she was on drugs. The daughter was banging on the door and yelling.

2:18 p.m., 200 block Doeskin Dr.- A woman was concerned about getting strange photos of her garage door open and front entry way, but she eventually deduced it may be from her H-E-B grocery deliveries.

4:06 p.m., 42 Hwy 87 N.- A man was concerned when two men asked him where they could buy a gun after overhearing them in line talking about going fishing. He said they were from out of the country.

4:07 p.m., 143 Hwy 87 N.- AirLife services were called to Comfort High School.

6:05 p.m., 36 FM 473 E.- A country club cow was back at it on the golf course, grazing on green pasture.

8:02 p.m., 106 Blue Ridge- A man in his 30s was reported as trying to leave the RV pro while drunk as residents and an assistant manager of the property attempted to keep him at the location. He’d been arguing with his wife and other residents. A deputy located the man, and he was arrested.

11:47 p.m., 531 FM 3351 N.- A manager at The Roundup reported a patron tried to fight an employee after they cut him off from alcohol. The patron then called saying the business wouldn’t let him leave, which he inaccurately called entrapment, and said he needed to get home because something might happen to his kids. The man later called dispatch back without realizing it, and dispatchers overheard him talking with someone about the assault and noted he and the other individual sounded very intoxicated.

 

May 22

8:22 a.m., 200 block Lohmann- A man was arrested during service of an arrest warrant.

10:47 a.m., 200 block Woodland Blvd.- A woman reported seeing a man standing outside naked, noting his home had an orange ribbon hanging from the fence. Deputies contacted his wife who said her husband hadn’t been outside but was seen in a bathrobe.

6 p.m., 543 MM I-10 W.- A woman reported a driver who she believed to be intoxicated after they almost crashed into a barricade and were swerving in and out of lanes. Deputies located the driver, but no further information was provided.

7:51 p.m., 100 block Tower Rd.- A neighbor shot and killed his neighbor’s dog. When the two neighbors began arguing, the shooter said he was within his rights to shoot the dog because it was killing his kangaroos.

10:21 p.m., 400 block Los Indios Ranch Rd.- A woman was held captive in her car by an unfamiliar yet aggressive pair of pups, including a Labrador and unidentified small breed. She’d been held hostage for 10 minutes before calling deputies.
