Boerne boys soccer team wins two matches at home

The Boerne High boys soccer team hosted two matches last week at Boerne ISD Stadium and won both of them.

The Boerne High boys soccer team hosted two matches last week at Boerne ISD Stadium and won both of them.

The Hounds welcomed Antonian on Wednesday and hosted South San on Friday and improved to 3-2 with the two victories.

BHS is home again Tuesday against New Braunfels before playing in the Progreso Tournament this weekend.

Vs. South San

Boerne steamrolled the Bobcats of South San, 11-0, and had two players record hat tricks.

Sam Theiss and Landon Murphy both scored 3 goals apiece and Murphy also picked up 3 assists.

Justin Moore knocked in 2 goals, while Juan Castro, Sam Gonzales and Joe Ballenger all knocked in single goals.

Moore picked up 2 assists to go with his 2 goals, while Castro, Gonzales and Brett Hettie all recorded single assists.

Vs. Antonian

The Boerne High boys soccer team hosted Antonian last Wednesday at BISD Stadium for its 2022 home opener.

Boerne was able to double up the Apaches and picked up a 4-2 victory.

In Wednesday’s match, Sam Theiss finished with a hat trick and tallied 3 goals, while Justin Moore added a single goal.

Joe Ballenger and Landon Murphy both recorded 2 assists apiece.
